Lauren Tepper—Personal Trainer
Background: Lauren earned her M.F.A. in Dance from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and has received an Outstanding Master Production Award for her choreography and performance. As a dancer, she has performed with BJ Sullivan, Trish Casey, and Jan Van Dyke. She has over ten years of experience as an instructor of dance, yoga, and fitness, and has taught at fitness centers, studios, schools, and universities.
Thoughts on fitness/Training philosophy: Lauren encourages her clients to focus on alignment, flexibility, strength, and efficiency of movement in order to build toward greater health and fitness. She particularly seeks to teach her clients how to isolate and use the proper groups of muscles for every movement within an exercise.
Specialties: Yoga, dance, and working to correct and improve clients’ alignment.
Interesting fact: Lauren writes environmental columns for a health and nutrition publication, and in the future, she hopes to write and publish a memoir.
